About The Position

UF Health is hiring new graduate Registered Nurses anticipated to graduate in December 2026. Nurses will transition from nursing school to clinical practice with guidance from experienced nursing professionals, hands-on experience, and opportunities for clinical education and professional growth. The role involves delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment. Positions are available across multiple hospitals and clinical units in Central Florida, Gainesville, Jacksonville, and St. Johns.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026.
• Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain Florida RN licensure upon graduation.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or other specialty-specific credentials may be required depending on the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to patients and families.
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, and communicate important findings to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders, established policies, and safety standards.
• Maintain clear, timely, and accurate electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families about care, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Participate in orientation, clinical education, competency development, and ongoing professional growth opportunities.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and teamwork while supporting patient safety and continuous improvement.
