About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) team at a leading healthcare facility in Gardner, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience preferred.
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Pediatrics experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and deliver evidence-based nursing care throughout the patient stay.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, pain management, and monitor patient responses while ensuring accurate documentation using Meditech EMR.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient conditions, and communicate significant findings promptly to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, post-operative care, medications, discharge planning, and recovery expectations.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, promote patient safety, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and quality standards.
