About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Main Operating Room team at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, Florida. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts. The nurse provides care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, or other conditions; educates patients and families about disease processes and plans of care; collaborates with physicians and hospital departments; coordinates ancillary services; advocates for patients; and participates in staff meetings and other unit activities. The role supports and upholds the hospital’s mission.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of operating room circulating nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Associate of Science in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, or other conditions.
• Uphold the hospital mission statement.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and plans of care.
• Interact with physicians and other hospital departments.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Act as the patient advocate.
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.
