About The Position

The Registered Nurse applies the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including patient and family education and continuum-of-care planning. The nurse communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health care team, collaborates to establish patient goals, and evaluates progress to support effective outcomes. The role also supports ongoing professional growth through learning activities consistent with Board of Nursing standards. This position is in Emergency Services and is scheduled PRN for 12-hour shifts as needed, from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with a minimum of four shifts per six-week scheduling period. The role requires a nursing license, graduation from an approved nursing program, and one year of relevant work experience.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved nursing program.
Registered Nurse licensure.
One year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in establishing the plan of care and coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
Analyze comprehensive information relevant to patient care and management to determine nursing diagnoses.
Continually use the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to support effective outcomes.
Employ strategies that promote health and a safe, healthy environment.
Provide patient and family education and participate in continuum-of-care planning.
Communicate pertinent patient and family information to the health care team.
Collaborate in establishing patient goals and evaluate progress.
Engage in learning activities to further professional growth according to Board of Nursing standards.
