Registered Nurse - Same Day Surgery
About The Position
Sentara RMH Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join its Same Day Surgery team in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The position has two scheduled nine-hour shifts per week, with shift options of 0530–1500, 0600–1530, 0700–1630, 0830–1800, and 1000–1930. A sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 is available for qualifying candidates. The Registered Nurse provides a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, and evaluation. The role also follows professional performance standards covering ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN applies the clinical knowledge and skills required for the specific clinical area. Sentara RMH Medical Center is a 238-bed community hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia, serving a seven-county area. It is a Magnet-designated hospital and part of Sentara Health.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Previous acute care experience is preferred.
