This role provides for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and upholds the organization's mission. Responsibilities include supervising supportive personnel, coordinating ancillary services, involving patients and families in care planning, educating patients and families about their disease process and plan of care, serving as a patient advocate, and providing care to critical patients requiring higher acuity. Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care experience. As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health, you will provide care to patients requiring treatment for any medical, surgical, or other condition, embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement, educate patients and families, interact with physicians and other departments, coordinate care with ancillary services, and participate in staff meetings and unit activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
  • 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
  • Associate of Science in Nursing Or Diploma Nurse Or Degree Preferred: Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)

Responsibilities

  • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to critical patients that require a higher acuity of care
  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
  • Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Act as the patient advocate
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
