About The Position

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Responsibilities include: Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case. This position requires call. Performance Standards Note: Utilize Performance Standards labeled "ORRN" for the ORs and utilize "RN" Performance Standards for the ICU RNs As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health you will: Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital Coordinate care provided by ancillary services Act as the patient advocate Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing Or Diploma Nurse
  • 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
  • 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
