About The Position

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse performs timely assessments appropriate to each patient’s clinical presentation or diagnosis, care setting, age, developmental level, and cultural and religious orientation. Assessments must be complete and accurate and include physical needs such as pain, skin breakdown, and fall risk; psychological needs such as cognitive and communication skills or development; social status; and other patient needs. Temecula Valley Hospital is part of Southwest Healthcare and provides emergency care and a range of specialty services. The hospital has 140 private patient rooms and is recognized for patient safety, stroke and cardiac care, and other clinical services. Requirements

At least one year of Emergency or Critical Care experience in an acute care facility.
Current California Registered Nurse license.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
NIHSS certification is required within the first week (five days) of hire.
CPI certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

CEN certification is encouraged.
