About The Position

This is a permanent, full-time Registered Nurse role on a Labor & Delivery unit at a busy, well-regarded hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. The role provides patient- and family-centered nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns, supports families through childbirth, and includes leadership and guidance of the care team. The listed annual salary range is $83,000–$137,000.

The nurse cares for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and newborns; monitors labor and fetal status; responds to obstetric emergencies; and works alongside OB providers and the care team during vaginal deliveries, inductions, and cesarean births. The position also involves patient and family education, advocacy, supervision of assigned staff, and adherence to unit policies and standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Nevada RN license.
• At least 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Completion of an obstetric specialty course is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, skilled nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and newborns.
• Monitor labor progress and fetal heart rate, recognize complications early, and respond to obstetric emergencies.
• Support vaginal deliveries, inductions, and cesarean births alongside OB providers and the care team.
• Lead and support the healthcare team and oversee staff assigned under the nurse’s supervision.
• Educate patients and families and advocate for their needs.
• Follow unit policies and standards and model excellent service in every interaction.
