About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work in a Labor & Delivery unit at a busy, well-regarded hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. This permanent, full-time position provides patient- and family-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns. The nurse will help lead and guide the care team while supporting families through labor and birth.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Nevada RN license.
- At least 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Completion of an obstetric specialty course is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, skilled nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and newborns.
- Monitor labor progress and fetal heart rate, recognize complications early, and respond to obstetric emergencies.
- Support vaginal deliveries, inductions, and cesarean births alongside OB providers and the care team.
- Lead and support the healthcare team and oversee staff assigned under the nurse's supervision.
- Educate patients and families and advocate for their needs.
- Follow unit policies and standards and model excellent service in every interaction.
