Registered Nurse - Telemetry
About The Position
Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a 131-bed community hospital and member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry Unit. The hospital serves the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest Philadelphia communities and has provided care since 1890. The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The nurse is accountable for care provided to assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain it current.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
