About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Neonatal ICU at Mercy Hospital - W Memorial Rd works nights, full time, 36 hours per week. The role uses the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability for care provided to assigned patients. The nurse evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers, coordinates patient care with other departments, and protects patient rights and the confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure in the state where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, or successfully complete the course within 30 days of hire.
• Meet other unit-specific certification requirements as applicable.
• Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift.
• Be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
