Registered Nurse NICU, FT Nights
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN directs and coordinates nursing care based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborates with other professional disciplines to support effective, efficient care and desired patient outcomes. The RN supports the organization’s vision and mission, uses knowledge of patients’ developmental ages and cultural diversity to provide patient- and family-centered care, and contributes to quality nursing care through performance-improvement techniques that demonstrate positive patient outcomes. This position is in the NICU at El Paso Children’s Hospital in El Paso, Texas, and is full-time on the night shift.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas or hold a compact license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to use computers for documentation.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
