About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Gastroenterology team at Yakima Memorial Hospital. The position uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide care through a multidisciplinary approach. The role is full-time (1.0 FTE), with a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday. Yakima Memorial Hospital is a 226-bed, not-for-profit hospital serving the Yakima Valley since 1950, with a multispecialty team across more than 20 primary and specialty care locations.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to deliver care according to the nursing process and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
