About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) works under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. The RN uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and providing patient care; participating in interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning; teaching patients and families about post-hospitalization care; and accessing community resources. The RN may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse duties when appropriately certified. The position is identified as PRN days at Wausau Rehab. Requirements

Hold a current registered nurse (RN) license in the state where the hospital is located, or a compact license if the state participates.
Current BLS certification is required.
Provide evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
