About The Position
Baptist South Overflow PCU is hiring a Fulltime Days Registered Nurse with previous PCU or Critical Care experience. New Hires eligible for a $2,500 Sign On Bonus Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to critical patients that require a higher acuity of care. Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
Requirements
- Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
- 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
- Hospital Experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing Or Diploma Nurse Or Degree Preferred: Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
Responsibilities
- Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
- Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
- Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
- Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to critical patients that require a higher acuity of care.
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Act as the patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
