About The Position
Sentara is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) throughout Sentara Hampton Roads Hospitals for an RN Networking & Hiring Event at Topgolf. This event provides an opportunity to play, eat, connect with nursing leaders, including CNOs, and explore RN opportunities in various specialties such as Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Stepdown, Critical Care, and Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse (RN) – New Graduate role focuses on providing nursing and patient care during the first year of practice, with support from preceptors, experienced RNs, and Sentara’s nurse residency and onboarding program. The role involves assessing patients, contributing to care plans, administering medications, documenting in the electronic health record, and developing clinical judgment and confidence. As competencies are validated, the RN takes on greater autonomy and patient complexity.
