About The Position

7 Surgical is a 26-bed General Surgical/Medical floor caring for general surgery patients and overflow from the sister 2 Surgical floor. The Registered Nurse provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to help them attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. The role delivers relationship-based care, supports positive clinical outcomes, collaborates with colleagues, develops professional nursing practice, and contributes leadership to clinical and operational outcomes.

Requirements

Diploma in Nursing or an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Knowledge of the nursing process and practice.
Proficiency using a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies, such as stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio and/or a Multi-State Compact License, required upon hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Master in Nursing (MN).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), which may be required based on the unit's clinical care standards.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), which may be required based on the unit's clinical care standards.
