About The Position

Saint Joseph Health System is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for its Maternal Child Float team. The RN floats between Pediatrics, Mother Baby, and low-acuity NICU, providing night-shift coverage. The position includes every third weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) and every other holiday.

The RN implements, directs, communicates, and documents the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act. RNs advocate for patients and help maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Hold an Indiana RN license.
• Have CPR certification upon hire or be able to attain it within 60 days.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in Pediatrics, Mother Baby, or NICU; new graduate RNs will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Float between Pediatrics, Mother Baby, and low-acuity NICU.
• Implement, direct, communicate, and document the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
• Advocate for patients.
• Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues.
