The Registered Nurse coordinates the provision of direct patient care according to Nursing Care Standards. In this role, you will be assessing, planning, implementing, reassessing, and recording patient care in accordance with the interdisciplinary treatment plan. You will use thorough knowledge of age-specific needs, care of mentally ill persons, Chapter 5100 of the M.H. Procedures Act, CMS and CIHQ standards, voluntary, involuntary, patient rights and confidentiality. Proficiency in therapeutic 1:1’s is expected, as is leading or co-leading therapeutic groups/activities and providing patient/family teaching. You will be an active member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, expected to work collaboratively with physicians and other disciplines to develop, implement, and revise each patient’s interdisciplinary treatment and discharge plan. You will also direct and assist all other disciplines and provide leadership to ensure professional nursing standards are maintained. Exemplifying the IRMC mission, vision, and values, acting in accordance with IRMC policies and procedures to ensure quality care is provided. Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, family, and members of the organization. Assisting in providing patient and family education. Able to function as the charge nurse as assigned. Will be required to float to all units, including geropsych, adult, and adolescent.
