Registered Nurse- Emergency Room
About The Position
Utilizing the nursing process, the Registered Nurse provides high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. The nurse coordinates patient care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and communicates the patient's clinical condition as appropriate, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. The nurse promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current Connecticut nursing licensure; new graduates must pass the NCLEX within 90 days of graduation.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire or within the new employee introductory orientation period.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire or within the new employee introductory orientation period.
- Maintain clinical competency during employment.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English.
- Possess basic computer skills.

- Epic experience or skills are highly preferred.
