NaphCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a part-time, 12-hour shift position on Friday nights at the Hamilton County Justice Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Ohio
  • Valid CPR card
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred
  • Position may require he/she to stand or walk for long periods of time while performing duties

Responsibilities

  • Take and document all patient history and vital signs.
  • Perform and document all patient history and vital signs, mental health screenings and/or evaluations.
  • Respond to and initiate care for medical and mental health emergencies.
  • Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, patient assessments, examinations and/or treatment.
  • Initiate and document prescribed protocol agreement.
  • Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility.
  • Observe and evaluate the performance of the licensed practical/vocational nursing staff.
