Registered Nurse - Float Pool - Per Diem
About The Position
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Float Pool on a per-diem basis. The nurse delivers individualized, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in accordance with evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care. The role involves communicating with patients and the healthcare team, supporting patient and guest satisfaction, administering medications using clinical documentation technology, and providing patient- and family-centered care focused on health, wellness, and disease management. The nurse also collaborates across disciplines to manage care plans and goals from admission through discharge, supporting safe transitions and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Current and valid New Jersey Registered Professional Nurse license.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification.
- At least 1 year of acute care RN experience.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong accountability for improving the lives of patients and caregivers.
- Exceptional focus on teamwork.
- Ability and passion to deliver high-quality care with a strong patient focus.
Nice To Haves
- BSN strongly preferred; otherwise, must obtain a BSN within 3 years.
Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care in accordance with nursing policies and standards of care to provide safe, individualized, patient-centered care.
- Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members about patient status, care provided, and treatment plans.
- Support optimal patient and guest satisfaction and care experience according to Hackensack Meridian Health standards.
- Administer medications using clinical documentation technology designed to support safe medication delivery.
- Provide patient- and family-centered care to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans and goals from admission through discharge to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
