About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides direct, comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission through discharge in a freestanding emergency department. The nurse reviews and documents the care provided, outcomes, and evaluations of care, and follows professional standards of care. This is a PRN position with a 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. schedule.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Kentucky.
• Obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within six months of hire.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Obtain Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) within three years of hire.
• Obtain National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of hire.
• Obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six months of hire.
• Obtain Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within two years of hire.
• Complete mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training before the end of the orientation period and maintain it annually.
