Registered Nurse (NOC) - Garden Pavilion
About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing, and providing nursing care according to hospital and department policies and procedures. The role operates under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, nursing supervisor, and/or charge nurse. Key dimensions include quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, public and customer relations, and broad nursing knowledge. The nurse assists with new staff orientation, provides clinical guidance and support for students, and may assume relief charge nurse duties when oriented and assigned.
Requirements
- Current State of California RN license.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
- Pass orientation and initial competency assessment before independent assignment of patients requiring the applicable skill.
- Complete and pass all annual competencies.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience working as a registered nurse with adult psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Board Certification.
