The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing Services in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. This role involves participating in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, ensuring the availability of current reference materials, and overseeing compliance with nursing service procedures. The RN will also participate in the facility's quality assurance program, assist with resident assessments and care plans, and manage administrative duties such as completing medical forms and reports. Additionally, the RN will play a key role in committee functions, personnel management, direct nursing care, staff development, safety and sanitation, equipment and supply management, and budget planning. This position requires a supportive team member who can contribute to and exemplify the team concept, demonstrating knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, and regulations pertaining to nursing care facilities.
