About The Position

The Night Shift Triage Registered Nurse provides hospice nursing services across multiple areas, including the Inpatient Unit (IPU), Care 24 field, Care24 Triage, and Continuous Home Care (CHC). The RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; manages pain and other complex end-of-life symptoms; and educates and supports patients and families. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary hospice team to plan and direct services that meet the needs of patients and families. All hospice RNs cross-train to other departments as organizational needs require. The position is based in Collier County and works three 12-hour shifts from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., including every other weekend. Staff may also be assigned variable shifts, weekend and holiday rotations, and emergency response duties according to staffing needs and the Comprehensive Emergency Management Grid. The RN documents patient assessments and care in the electronic medical record at the point of care, updates care plans as needed, and meets organizational productivity expectations. Visits outside the Inpatient Unit involve driving to patient homes. Avow is a tobacco-free organization and hires only nicotine-free individuals.
