Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department
About The Position
Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team. This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified applicants. This is a Full-Time position with mid shifts (1pm-1am & 3pm-3am). During orientation, the nurse will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights). Requirements
- A minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification through American Heart Association required.
- Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others.
- Proficient computer skills required.
Nice To Haves
- Two years ED experience strongly preferred.
- CEN/TNCC certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
- Experienced behavioral health nurses and Overflow unit assist the team in caring for non-emergency patients.
- Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
- Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.
- Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
