About The Position

The Registered Nurse position is within the Emergency Department at Stratford General Hospital. The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) is a multi-site organization committed to influencing proactive change, embracing partnerships, harnessing performance, and valuing its people to advance the healthcare system. HPHA includes Clinton Public Hospital, St. Marys Memorial Hospital, Seaforth Community Hospital, and Stratford General Hospital.

Requirements

Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Ability to work independently, with excellent communication skills
Ability to plan, organize and problem solve

Nice To Haves

Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Emergency/Critical Care Nursing preferred
Advance Paediatric Life Support (APLS) or Paediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Emergency Nursing Certificate (ENC)
Emergency Trauma Life Support (ETLS)
Trauma Management

Responsibilities

Paediatric and adult assessment, including triage and Acuity Scale
12 lead ECG Interpretation
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
