About The Position

Wilson Health is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for its 7-bed Critical Care Unit in Sidney, Ohio. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with severe and life-threatening illnesses or injuries who require constant monitoring and support from specialized equipment and medications.

The Registered Nurse provides care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, teaching, and supervision. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, patients, families, and significant others; supports patient and family education; and practices within the scope defined by law and ethics. The position is scheduled for 24 hours per week (48 hours bi-weekly), from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and reports to the Acute Care Nurse Manager.

Requirements

• Current Ohio RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• A BSN is required within 5 years if not already obtained.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years of medical-surgical or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and teach.
• Care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Support and educate patients and families about disease processes and self-care.
• Maintain professional competency and uphold high standards of nursing practice.
• Lead and guide other team members, including LPNs, HUCs, and PCTs.
