Registered Nurse - RN - Home Infusion - PRN
About The Position
CVS Health is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for home infusion nursing in the Metro St. Louis area and some areas in Illinois. The nurse provides specialty infusion therapies in patients’ homes, offering one-on-one nursing care and patient education in accordance with physicians’ plans of treatment. The role includes up to 20 hours per week, with travel of up to two hours one way for specialty patients. Travel time is paid and mileage is reimbursed. On-call duty is not currently required, although participation in an on-call rotation may be required according to staffing and business needs. Continuous training in specialty infusion technology and clinical requirements is offered. Eligible certification and recertification expenses may be reimbursed.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in Missouri; an Illinois license is also required, and candidates without one are expected to obtain it.
- At least one year of nursing experience.
- Current CPR certification, maintained throughout employment.
- Valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- RN diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Nice To Haves
- One year of infusion or IV experience is desired.
- Home healthcare experience.
- Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion (CRNI) certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide a broad range of infusion therapies in patients’ homes.
- Deliver one-on-one home infusion nursing care and patient education in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.
- Use clinical IV experience to support patients’ recovery at home.
- Communicate with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other partners using strong written and verbal customer service skills.
- Document and track patient care activity using Microsoft Office applications.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.
- Travel to patients in Metro St. Louis and some areas in Illinois; travel time is paid and mileage is reimbursed.
