About The Position

PAM Health is hiring a part-time, day-shift Dialysis Registered Nurse at its Wilkes-Barre Specialty location. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the nurse uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. The role plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary and discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization, and access to community resources. The nurse oversees physician-ordered dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure. Other related duties may be assigned or requested; Charge Nurse duties require ACLS certification.

Requirements

• RN license in the state where applying.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification is required after 90 days of employment; it is required from day one for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU roles.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification initially.
• Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC).

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and help access community resources.
• Oversee physician-ordered dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, potentially including Charge Nurse duties.
