About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in Cardio Diagnostics/Stress Lab, using the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care. The nurse monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, collaborates with the care team, and engages patients and families throughout the continuum of care. The role includes promoting safety, maintaining accurate and timely electronic health record documentation, and supporting evidence-based practices and quality initiatives.

The nurse may administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to clinical protocols; delegate appropriately; and may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area. The position requires age-appropriate care across the lifespan, professional and ethical practice, effective communication, and ongoing professional development. This is an as-needed, part-time position with no benefits eligibility stated.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing-approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where nursing services are provided.
• Typically, one year of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
• Time-management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with computer functions, including email, electronic records, and digital platforms.
• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and support 35 pounds and push or pull with 30 pounds of force; ability to perform a sliding transfer of 150 pounds with a second person present.
• Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch, including fine hand-manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures.
• Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines and perform physical safety interventions, including patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient or unit conditions.
• Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment as necessary when exposed to chemical or hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, and communicable disease.
