About The Position
The Registered Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders, established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics. The position is based on the 6th floor of Parkview Regional Medical Center in 6 Medical, a 36-bed acute care unit that cares for patients with infections, complications from chronic diseases, and comorbidities.
Requirements
- Diploma in nursing or an Associate of Nursing (ASN).
- Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license.
- CPR certification.
- Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds; lifting requirements may be heavier in specified departments.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
