About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the SICU/CVICU plans, directs, coordinates, and provides high-quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process. The role reports to the Patient Care Services Director/Shift Manager and is based in the Med/Sur. Int. Care ICU department. This is a full-time night-shift position with Holiday Rotation A.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of ICU experience.
• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification; new graduates may obtain it within 6 months of hire.
• TCAR certification required within 12 months of hire or transfer. Current employees or transfers with TNCC must obtain TCAR by October 1, 2019.
• Obtain the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) education module within 6 months of hire or transfer into the unit and maintain it thereafter.
• PALS certification is required for relief charge duties only.
