Registered Nurse (RN) - SICU CVICU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the SICU/CVICU reports to the Patient Care Services Director/Shift Manager and is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high-quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process. The role is a full-time day-shift position in the SICU, with Holiday Rotation A. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is offered based on experience. Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is a 394-bed general acute care hospital with a 67-bed inpatient psychiatric capacity, offering inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services across numerous specialties, including critical and intensive care.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of ICU experience.
- Current California RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification; new graduates must obtain it within 6 months of hire.
- TCAR certification within 12 months of hire or transfer. Current employees or transfers with TNCC must obtain TCAR by October 1, 2019.
- Complete the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) education module within 6 months of hire or transfer into the unit and maintain it thereafter.
- PALS is required for relief charge nurses only.
