About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Weight Management Clinic is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care within a multidisciplinary surgical setting. Key responsibilities include initiating peripheral intravenous (IV) access for in-clinic procedures, conducting clinical triage of patient telephone inquiries, and coordinating prior authorizations for diagnostic studies and surgical interventions. The RN also assists with pre-operative and post-operative patient flow by preparing and rooming patients for the surgeon. This role requires strong clinical judgment, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to supporting patients throughout the bariatric and weight-management care continuum. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
  • Current certification in BLS required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior ambulatory experience preferred
  • BSN preferred
