Registered Nurse - Atrium Health Lake Norman Dialysis FT Days. This is a full-time position with benefits eligible status. The role involves 3-12 hour shifts with variable hours and call requirements. The nurse will engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. They will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The nurse will continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed. They may administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential, fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The role requires pursuing professional development, completing required education, and maintaining certifications, while adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics and practicing ethical decision-making. Appropriate delegation to other nursing staff and accurate, timely EHR documentation are also key. The nurse may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, including understanding of growth and development over the life span and the ability to assess and interpret data reflective of age-specific needs.
