Registered Nurse-Ambulatory Surgery Center
About The Position
Ambulatory Registered Nurses provide professional nursing care to assigned patients in an outpatient setting. The role records patient histories, performs diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. The nurse assists physicians during examinations and procedures and operates and monitors medical equipment as necessary. This position is in the Ambulatory Surgery Center at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois. The schedule is a day shift with 10-hour days and variable start times as early as 6 a.m.; scheduled weekly hours are 40. Pay ranges from $30.40 to $45.60 per hour. Actual pay is based on factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice.
- Be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice. In Wisconsin, a valid multistate RN license may be used as outlined in Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
