About The Position
The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN follows John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, the ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment, and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members. The position supports John Muir Health Nursing’s vision of innovative professional nursing, evidence-based practice, compassionate healing, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional growth and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- At least 6 months of nursing experience in medical acute care.
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Obtain American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within 3 months of hire.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively motivate teams.
Nice To Haves
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant certification.
- Clinical specialty certification.
Responsibilities
