About The Position

The Registered Nurse prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care for patients; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards in the clinical setting. The RN helps create a positive customer service environment. This is a full-time Emergency Room position on the third shift, scheduled for 36 hours weekly in 12-hour shifts beginning at 7 p.m.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing.
• ADN.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify their needs.
• Implement appropriate interventions based on patient population needs and the department's scope of service.
• Delegate nursing care activities and provide supervision.
• Establish and maintain a plan for delivering nursing care.
• Ensure nursing interventions and activities are directed toward resolving problems.
• Perform technical aspects of care competently.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Work cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards.
• Create a positive customer service environment.
