About The Position

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Cardiovascular Unit. This is a full-time position with 36 weekly hours, working days (three 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p) with every third weekend rotation. The role is bonus eligible for qualified candidates. This is a Progressive Care Unit with two distinct areas: CVI (15 beds) and CVU (16 beds). CVI focuses on pre- and post-cardiac interventions like PTCA, cardioversion, and generator implants, as well as patients with atypical chest pain requiring cardiac monitoring. CVU provides post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients during their open-heart recovery. Registered Nurses in this unit manage patient care throughout their entire journey, from intervention to discharge. New graduate nurses are welcome to apply. The Cardiac Nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing interventions, and maintaining a nursing care plan. Strong critical thinking skills are crucial for providing technical care and guiding patients and families through their cardiac care experience.

Requirements

Active Kentucky RN License
BCLS Required
