Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - McKinney as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! Our McKinney nursing teams serve a very fast-paced, high-volume environment with consistently strong patient census and acuity. This is a full-time seasonal position with a 13-week contract, requiring three 12-hour shifts per week (excluding the first week of orientation). A $1,500 completion bonus is offered for meeting minimum productive time. Eligible for shift differentials: $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends, which are stackable. The first week involves Monday-Friday orientation. Although this is a short-term assignment, you will be a Baylor employee. The goal is for successful seasonal employees to convert to a regular Full-time, Part-time, or PRN role after the contract concludes. The Acute Care Unit (ACU) is a fast-paced environment with high acuity patients. The ACU leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The patient population includes General Adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients. The department is a Magnet facility with over 80% BSN-prepared nurses, a strong practice council, and offers reimbursement for nursing certifications. There are free charge nurses, dedicated unit supervisors for day and night shifts, and opportunities for skill advancement and growth, with great collaboration across disciplines and wonderful inter-department teamwork.
