About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in Student Health Services and provides patient care, including triage, assessment, medication administration, specimen collection, and support during examinations and procedures. Responsibilities

Triage patients and assess their needs upon arrival.
Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent patient information.
Administer medications and injections as ordered by the provider.
Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens according to established protocols.
Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures and treatments.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic health record.
Educate patients about treatments, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
Ensure examination rooms are stocked, cleaned, and prepared for patient care.
Follow safety, infection-control, and confidentiality standards.
Promptly report covered allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, or child sexual abuse as required of a Title IX Responsible Employee.
