About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Gastroenterologist and the Director of Surgical Services, the Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for patient wellbeing during endoscopy procedures. The role supports optimum patient care and safety, encourages cooperation among personnel, and promotes professionalism in the Endoscopy suite. The nurse delivers patient care using knowledge of the nursing process and age-specific requirements, directs and guides patient teaching, and delegates activities to members of the patient care team in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. The nurse is expected to demonstrate a proper customer service attitude and commitment to professional behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current Massachusetts licensure.
• Service-specific credentials, certification, and experience as specified.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS.
• Intervent and Telemetry experience.

Nice To Haves

• An ASN with enrollment in a BSN/MSN program may be considered with CNO approval.
• Equivalent service line experience may be considered with CNO approval.
