About The Position

Big Bend Regional Medical Center is your community medical provider, serving the Big Bend region of Texas and its residents with emergency, laboratory, women’s and surgical services. This is a Full-Time Position for the Night Shift (6:30pm - 6:30am) with a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus with an 18 Month Commitment.

Requirements

• Labor & Delivery experience required
• Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas

Nice To Haves

• Prefer bachelor's degree in nursing

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs a variety of tasks
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
