About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Registered Nurse - Women's Health (OB/GYN) at Nellis Air Force Base, in Las Vegas Nevada. This contract position offers: Employee status and access to a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and, Vision, 401(K), PTO and Sick time. The opportunity is to care for Active Duty, Retirees and their families.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen, or lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work in the US.
  • Shall have and maintain a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS), Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
  • Shall have completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of labor and delivery or Women’s Health Clinic experience is preferred.
  • Strongly preferred working knowledge of the military health care system including TRICARE health benefits or a working knowledge of the principles of fee-for-services, preferred provider network and managed care/HMO organizations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to a select population of essentially healthy women and/or their babies in a variety of settings to include, obstetrical antepartum or intrapartum management, postpartum care, gynecologic care and immediate newborn care.
  • Manage growth, development, and pathophysiology of disease processes specific to the obstetrical and gynecological population from neonate to geriatrics.
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient’s condition including disease progress, acknowledgement of teaching, and follow up care.
  • Provide care for a wide range of medical disorders and their potential impact on perinatal outcomes, as well as broad knowledge of normal delivery variations, their complications and indicated therapeutic intervention required.
