About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) working nights on a weekender schedule. The unit is a Level III NICU with 35 beds, emphasizing family-centered care and single-room setup. The role involves providing care to critically ill newborns and supporting their families. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Occasional floating to other units such as Pediatrics/PICU, SCN, and Mother Baby may be required.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021).
• At least 1 year of experience in a Level III/IV NICU setting.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current BLS through AHA.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within six months of start date.

• Experience with single-room setup in NICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
