Registered Nurse - Vascular Access
About The Position
United Health Services is seeking a Vascular Access RN to support patients across the UHS system. The role focuses on placing ultrasound-guided IVs and completing central line dressing changes. It requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, excellent communication, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to various care settings. Reliable transportation is required because the position supports multiple UHS locations, including UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City and UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, New York. The schedule is 36 hours per week on a day rotational shift. Compensation is $40.70–$61.05 per hour, depending on experience. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for eligible candidates. Benefits eligibility applies to regular positions with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current New York State RN license.
- Reliable transportation to support work at multiple locations.
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and ability to adapt to various care settings.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.
- Relevant skills certification, such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC, as required by the assigned home unit.
- Infusion nursing experience or vascular access certifications.
