About The Position

Toledo Clinic's Urology Department, RoMius Urology, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to work 1-2 days during the week (8-9 hours per day). This position will be trained to perform circulation, IV sedation, holding, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) duties in an office-based procedural setting. This position will provide support at our Maumee Ohio location. An Ohio RN license is required.

Active and appropriate state RN licensure in good standing.
BLS and ACLS certification.
Associates degree, bachelor’s degree, or diploma in nursing.

Nice To Haves

Previous Interventional Radiology experience or similar.
Previous IV sedation experience or certificate of completed training.
PACU and OR experience.

Responsibilities

Perform circulating and IV sedation, holding, and/or PACU duties in the Office Based Procedural setting.
Develops a plan of care based on patient health care data, procedure to be performed, and expected patient outcomes.
Assists the physician by preparing, monitoring, educating, or recovering the patient in Office Based Procedural setting.
When assigned to circulator duties the nurse will assist the IV sedation nurse to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Maintains documentation of nursing process for the care of the operative patient.
Evaluates changes in procedure and updates physician preference cards.
Prepares, cleans, and sets up disposable instruments for case support in the procedure room.
Assists in counting sponges, sharps, and instruments.
Participates in Quality Assurance/Improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
